4 Fantastic Products that Will Help Motivate You to Drink More Water

We all know we should be drinking more water, but also know it can feel nearly impossible to remember to drink when you are so busy, especially when you are teaching.

I know that I always feel better when I drink more water. However, that is easier said than done. Simply carrying a reusable water bottle around with me does not do the trick. I need a plan to be armed and ready each morning to be successful throughout the day. No matter my personal goals.

1. Thermos 24 Ounce Hydration Bottle with Connected Smart Lid

This ‘Smart’ water bottle does everything you wish you could do on your own, without missing a drop. It requires iOS7+ and works with the following Apple Devices: iPhone (4S and later), iPad (3rd generation and later), iPad mini (all generations), iPod touch (5th generation and later). It measures the intake of liquids while providing actual real-time temperature readings. My favorite feature is The Hydration Calculator which calculates your suggested hydration goal based on your personal data. It even charts and graphs daily, weekly, and monthly hydration progress so you can see your progress over time! It has up to a 12-day battery life before needing to be re-charged.

2. Water bottles with natural charcoal filters

Use your own favorite reusable water bottle and include a piece of Japanese binchotan charcoal, which helps reduce chlorine, mineralises the water and balances the pH in normal tap water. Binchotan active charcoal has been used in Japan as a water purifier since the 17th century. Use one stick for a personal water bottle and use two sticks for a pitcher.  You must reactivate the charcoal every two weeks by boiling for 10 minutes and letting it dry completely. The binchotan charcoal can be used for up to 6 months and amazingly recycles for many different uses after this. You do need to wait at least one hour to notice the results. But they recommend Eight hours to reach the full benefits. This would mean keeping a pitcher in the fridge or filing your water bottle at night.
